Privacy Policy

Zelene tehnologije d.o.o. is committed to protecting personal data collected in accordance with the fundamental principles of data protection, primarily acting in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation), regulations of the Republic of Croatia and the provisions set out in this privacy policy (hereinafter: Privacy Policy).

This privacy policy governs how we handle your personal data.

Data processing when visiting our website

1.1 Automatic collection of access data

You can visit our website without providing any personal data. In this case, only access data that your browser automatically transmits will be collected. This will include, for example, your online identification (e.g. IP address, session identification numbers, device identification numbers), information about the internet browser and operating system being used, the website from which you visit our website (i.e. if you visited one of our websites via a link), names of requested files (i.e. which text, videos or images you viewed on our websites), your browser’s language settings, error reports if any, and access times.

This access data must be processed to enable you to visit our website and use it easily, and to ensure its permanent functionality and security.

This access data will be stored temporarily in internal log files to obtain statistical information about the use of our websites. This allows us to continuously optimize our website, taking into account usage patterns and technical resources of our visitors, and to fix bugs and security risks. The information stored in log files does not allow direct conclusions to be drawn about you – we store IP addresses only in shortened, anonymous form. Log files are stored for 30 days and archived after subsequent anonymization. The legal basis for such data processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (balance of interests based on our legitimate interests mentioned above).

1.3. Your messages and communication

We collect all information and data that you communicate to us through our websites. For example, in various places on our websites, through functions such as the Contact Form, you can send us messages. All information that is mandatory for these functions is marked as such. The information you provide to us will be used exclusively to process your request.

We will delete the collected data after their storage is no longer necessary, or we will restrict their processing if there are legal obligations to retain data.

2.1. Principles

We disclose your data only if:

  • you have given your explicit consent to do so, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR
  • disclosure is necessary in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR to initiate, pursue or defend legal claims of Zelene tehnologije and there are no grounds to assume that you have a compelling interest in not disclosing your data that outweighs these considerations
  • we have a legal obligation to disclose in accordance with Article 6(1)(c) GDPR
  • disclosure is permitted by law and necessary, in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.

2.2. Disclosure to external service providers of Zelene tehnologije d.o.o.

Part of the data processing described in this Data Protection Notice may be performed on our behalf by external service providers. In addition to the service providers mentioned in this Data Protection Notice, they may include in particular data centers where our websites and databases are stored, information technology (IT) service providers who maintain our systems, and corporate advisors.

If we disclose data to our service providers, these providers may use such data only to perform their tasks. We have carefully selected and engaged these service providers. They are contractually obligated to follow our instructions, implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the rights of data subjects, and we regularly monitor them.

If, outside of this Data Protection Notice, we transfer your data to a service provider located in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will specifically notify you when this becomes necessary, as well as inform you about the specific safeguards on which such data transfer is based. If you wish to receive copies of safeguards confirming an adequate level of data protection, please contact our Data Protection Officer (see section 1).

2.3. Storage period

Unless otherwise stated in this Data Protection Notice, we will store and use your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations or to fulfill the purpose for which the data was collected. However, after the expiry of the statutory limitation period, we will restrict their processing, i.e. from then on, your data will be used only to fulfill legal obligations.

After that, we will immediately delete your data, unless we still need them until the expiry of the statutory limitation period for evidence purposes in civil proceedings or to comply with legal retention periods.

The legal basis for such data protection for fulfilling legal documentation and storage obligations is Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

2.4. Changes to the Data Protection Notice

We will update the Data Protection Notice as necessary, for example when we revise our website or if legal rules or official regulations change.

Email Address Usage Selection

Your email address will not be used for advertising purposes, and Zelene tehnologije will not contact you except in situations you have agreed to (e.g. price reduction notifications via newsletter you have subscribed to). If we contact you via email, you will be provided with instructions on how to unsubscribe from further email notifications.

Newsletter

The website can be used to subscribe to newsletters. The data you provide when registering for the newsletter will be used exclusively for sending the newsletter, unless you have agreed to other uses. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe option available in the newsletter.

Social Media Statement

Zelene Tehnologije uses social media plugins (“buttons”) such as Facebook and Instagram.

When you visit the website, these buttons are activated automatically, which means they can send data to the corresponding social networks. The social network may collect data regardless of whether you have interacted with the button or not. If you are logged into the social network, it can link your website visit to your user account. The social network cannot link visits to other Zelene tehnologije websites unless you activate the corresponding button.

Right to Information

Upon your request, Green Technologies or the representative responsible for you will inform you in writing or by other means, as soon as possible and in accordance with applicable laws, whether and which of your personal data is stored. If data is incorrectly stored despite our efforts to maintain accurate and up-to-date data, we will correct it at your request.

Every user has the right to submit a written request to Zelene tehnologije asking for:

  • Confirmation of whether personal data related to the user is being processed or not
  • Information about data related to the user being processed and the source of that data
  • Information about the existence of the user’s right to correction or deletion of personal data or restriction of processing of personal data related to the user or the right to object to such processing
  • Information about the right to lodge a complaint with the competent authority
  • Access to personal data and their copying
  • Information about who has accessed and for what purpose and on what legal basis personal data related to the user
  • Information about the logic of any automated data processing relating to the user
  • Completion, modification and/or deletion of incomplete, inaccurate and/or outdated personal data
  • Deletion of personal data based on the “right to be forgotten”
  • Restriction of processing of personal data.

Zelene Tehnologije is obliged to act on the user’s request without delay, and at the latest within 30 days from the day of receiving the written request.

The user has the right to request deletion of personal data relating to them from Zelene tehnologije, and Zelene tehnologije is obliged to comply if one of the following conditions is met:

  • Personal data is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected.
  • The user has withdrawn consent on which the processing is based.
  • The user objects to the processing.
  • Personal data has been unlawfully processed.

The user has the right to request restriction of processing of personal data from Zelene Tehnologije if one of the following conditions is met:

The user contests the accuracy of personal data, in which case processing is restricted for a period that allows Zelene tehnologije to verify the accuracy of personal data.

Processing is unlawful, and the user opposes deletion of personal data and requests restriction of their use instead, Zelene tehnologije no longer needs personal data for processing purposes, but the user requires them for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.

The user has the right at any time to object to processing of personal data relating to them, and Zelene tehnologije will no longer process such personal data unless they prove compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override the interests, rights and freedoms of the user or for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
